Our program is a self-paced, drop-in program where kids ages 5-14 learn college level coding languages. They go on to make their own app on the app store and learn other STEM skills to expand their future opportunities!
Prices range from $30 – $300. We have something for everyone based on their needs and budget!
Our Coding Ninjas graduate from White belt to Black belt while creating videogames through code! Each belt has a series of games the kids create learning different coding concepts! Languages included in the program are Scratch, JavaScript, LUA, Python, C#, and Unity! The curriculum includes STEM badges that give kids a fun twist to learning code like Coding in Minecraft, LEGO Robotics, 3D designing, and more!
Because our program is self-paced, kids finish as they retain the code. Average time to complete our core program is 2 – 3 years, depending on the Ninja. Separate from our core program, we also offer 3 month long classes which cover specific development environments like Minecraft and Roblox.
We try to have 1 Sensei to every 10 Ninjas. Because of the Drop-in nature of our program, Ninjas always get the help they need with an average of 15 kids per hour open. We always have at least 2 Sensei in the Dojo at any time.
Our program is designed to help the kids learn the code in a self-reliant way, but they are never on their own. Senseis walk around doing Sensei Stops and helping the Ninjas when they get stuck!
While we do have a virtual coding option every Monday and Wednesday from 4:30 – 5:30pm and Saturdays from 12 – 2pm, we do not allow the kids to work on their belts at home unless logged in virtually at the three assigned times. Kids can learn skills here in the Dojo to practice at home on their own.
As Ninjas graduate through our 9 belts from White to Black belt, kids will have experience in the 5 languages we teach, (Scratch, JavaScript, LUA, Python and C#). The will also gain experience in Code Ninjas proprietary Game Development Platform as well as Unity and Roblox Studio. The will also be exposed to several STEM skills we teach , including 3D design, robotics, computer building, and more. Those Ninjas that complete their Black Belt will develop their very own complex video game and Code Ninjas will assist them in getting on the App Store. At Code Ninjas we teach out Ninjas to be creators rather than consumers!
Every Ninja starts at the beginning in white belt and then proceeds at a pace that works for them. If it takes the Ninjas a little longer to learn the code, that is totally fine. We want coding to be fun for them, but most importantly we want them to learn!
We have multiple beginner classes to start off with depending on your needs. For younger Ninjas we have a SCRATCH class which uses block coding to introduce programming concepts in a clear simplified syntax. For those Ninjas with higher reading comprehension, we have a beginner coding in Minecraft class, 3D Design classes and more.
Hours can not move between siblings. Each child that signs up with a subscription has a license attached to them. That license allows them access to the curriculum, Dojo Store, and activities. We do offer sibling discounts depending on which program you sign up for.
The great thing with the drop-in hours, is the ability to bank unused hours. You can make those banked hours up anytime until you terminate your subscription with us. Depending on the program you select, you could have the flexibility of using your banked hours towards, Seasonal Camps, Parent Night Out’s (Game Night), Workshops, and more!
Absolutely! If you find that coming 1 hour a week is too little and you’d like to add another hour, we can add you to that program starting your next payment.
We do not have a sign-up fee. The day you sign up will be your program price on that date each month. While we don’t have cancellation fee’s we do have in place a 60-day cancellation policy. Meaning you’d continue paying and coming to Code Ninjas for two months after giving us notice and we will then terminate your subscription.
We do NOT do refunds. You will have a credit with us for the amount you purchased. You can use that credit towards any of our programs.
